Shannon E. Bownds, M.D.
Shannon E. Bownds, M.D. is a spine and neuroradiologist at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI). In addition, Dr. Bownds brings his expertise in injection procedures to help patients manage joint and back pain to CDI.
Dr. Bownds completed his fellowship at the University of Utah and his radiology residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard teaching institution, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Bownds received his doctor of medicine from the University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin School of Medicine and his undergraduate degrees from University of Wisconsin, Madison, followed by a surgical internship at Boston University Medical Center.
Dr. Bownds is American Board of Radiology certified in diagnostic radiology, in addition to being subspecialty board certified in Neuroradiology. He has authored and co-authored numerous professional articles as well as conducting radiology presentations to his peers. Dr. Bownds’ professional affiliations include the American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, The Western Neuroradiological Society and American Medical Association.
